Questions about a Mobile Massage Therapist!

Not wanting to visit a beauty salon for your treatments? Then why not try a mobile massage therapist?

How much space does the therapist need to carry out the treatment?

It depends on the treatment. Manicures and pedicures require less space: you simply need enough space to be able to sit down where our nail technician can easily access your hands and feet. For all other treatments, our mobile massage therapist will bring a portable couch measuring 240cm by 120cm. They will need to be able to walk around the couch without bumping into anything. Some of our mobile massage treatments (such as our unique Holistic Body Therapy) do not require a couch but are performed on a mat on the floor, making them ideal at-home treatments.

What do I need to provide?

You will need to have a quiet, warm room with no disturbances, plenty of drinking water, three large bath towels and a power point to plug a music player into. If you are unable to provide any of these, please let us know when you book your treatment and we will work around you.

How can I prepare for my treatment?

There is no need to prepare at all for nail services, waxing or eyelash tinting. If you are having a facial or body treatment, drink plenty of warm water before and after to help flush out the toxins that will be released and to facilitate the relaxation process. We recommend you also take a shower before your treatment to wash away the worries of the day so you are mentally ready to enjoy your experience. Avoid eating immediately prior to a facial or body treatment and do not drink any alcohol before hand.

Is there anything that would prevent me from having a treatment at home?

We only accept mobile bookings for clients over 18 years of age. Your therapist will conduct a full medical assessment before commencing your treatment. However, we do not carry out body treatments on women who are either menstruating or in the first trimester of pregnancy. If you are receiving medical treatment for an injury, illness or condition, please mention it at the time of booking and we will advise as to the suitability of your preferred treatment.

American Black Walnut Flooring

We source our Blueridge Real American Black Walnut logs from the US/Canadian Border. This means that our Walnut Flooring is made from the finest slow grown timber taken only from sustainably managed forests, so you can be sure that your purchasing decision is not literally costing the earth. The hardwood is steamed during the manufacturing process to darken the wood to a rich brown colour. There are cheaper Chinese grown walnut floors on the market but without the close grain and rich colouration of our Canadian Walnut, and certainly without the ecological credentials of our wood.

Blueridge American Black Walnut (Juglans Nigra) is probably our best selling floor. We think it is probably one of the richest looking and finest quality Real American Black Walnut floors available on the market. We have it made exclusively for us in Singapore using logs sourced from sustainable forests on the Canadian / US border.

We have developed a 100% hardwood 3 layer sandwich construction for our Blueridge Walnut engineered flooring. Why? Simply because it is much more stable than other methods. All of the bonded layers will respond to moisture differentials at the same rate, thus placing less pressure on the glue layer and making it less likely to distort or fail under stress. Because we use more of the log to make our flooring there is less waste so it’s good for the environment too.

We can supply solid or engineered boards from 80mm right up to 220mm in a variety finishes; (brushed, oiled, lacquered, scraped, etc.)….

You arrive at the airport, guide books thumbed through on the flight, list of must see attractions at the ready, only to step out into a torrential downpour. Or so you thought. In fact, it’s the first of five days constant rain, which to a holidaymaker could spell disaster, especially if you have small children in tow.

Your nightmare scenario – stuck in one family sized hotel room, at best kids bouncing on their shared bed, you only grateful that they are not yet fighting.

Not so if you have the good fortune to have thought ahead, and found your perfect flat for rent London. One that is most likely eating into less of your budget than a hotel would have done. You have more space, a separate bedroom or bedrooms for the kids, a living area, and a sit down kitchen. What this means is that you won’t be suffering through the deluge outside anymore. Many holiday apartments even provide a selection of games, or details of local attractions that you can get to easily. They often come, as hotel rooms do, with cable TV and internet connection, but thankfully with enough space that you can relax in another room should your children want to watch Madagascar for the third time…

Many country locations even provide outdoor wet gear, so you can all get your wellies on and enjoy the beautiful surroundings no matter what is forecast.

In most towns and cities there are ample convenient transport links to get around to major attractions and in many holiday apartments you will find information on these provided or you can browse at your leisure on the internet which is included in the price of the apartment.

If you have been visiting tourist attractions all day in the rain, perhaps that last thing you want is to sit in a restaurant with wet feet, and that slightly chilled, damp feeling all over. You would rather take a hot bath, and relax with your feet up, toasting warm with a bowl of hot soup in front of you, freshly made in your own kitchen. This is another great benefit of staying in flats for rent in London. Not only the freedom to do this but the fact that you are not paying the price of room service!

It doesn’t matter if it rains or pours, you will return home relaxed, refreshed and ready for anything.
